Myra Marshall is an enthusiastic performer with over a decade of experience under her belt.
Originally competing and learning from various vocal competitions throughout Alberta as well as Music Festival categories ranging from: Movie/T.V./Pop, Musical Theatre, Classical, and Contemporary Ballad, to name a few, she excelled at a rapid rate. Fortunate enough to have had a vocal instructor that did not limit her to classical music she grew in versatility from the start.
When first exploring the stage, she performed as a solo country artist and formed a female duo with a friend singing contemporary Christian music.
In 2001 Myra expanded her previous style when asked to front an Edmonton blues band after being seen at a local jam session. Having been a blues fan for some time she had never attempted to vocally enter the genre. Soon finding blues and rock to be a complimentary strong point for her she continues to excel in these areas. After singing with this band for some time she freelanced for a couple of bands in Camrose and later formed her own band gaining more experience and playing a variety of venues such as ball tournament dances, night clubs, weddings, outdoor parties, and street fairs.
Myra also has experience and is looking for more work as a background vocalist
live and in studio. Being a part of a couple of projects with Bruce
Rawling at Heartland Recording Studio in Camrose in 2001 was something she
very much enjoyed.
Live or in-studio, as a lead or accompanying vocalist, Myra Marshall’s
versatility, attention to detail, and vocal maturity are desired assets to
any musical production.
